Your questions answered
Q: Who are the team behind ClientEye ?
A: We designed our apps with the input from other users to create an app that could be accessed by others with the same need for a collective reporting system.
Q: Is ClientEye a Blacklist ?
A: No we are not a blacklist, we colate & display anonymous information, given by users so you can make a better informed decision.
Q: Who can use the ClientEye app ?
A: Users who receive phonecalls or are in an area & any support services can all benefit from our apps reporting systems.
Q: App permissions why are they needed, can i deny them ?
A: App permissions are only requested to display content within the app, they can be denied for those with safety concerns and the app will still allow users to manually search view/make reports for numbers & areas.
Q: Is the information i supply anonymous & secure ?
A: 100% yes, all reports made are anonymous and are held on our secure EU server databases.
Q: Do i need to be verified in order to use the app ?
A: No, as this creates a barrier to reporting. You can choose to verify yourself within the app if you wish but it's not a requirement, with verification your reports will appear BOLD which informs other users your reports come from an anonymous verified source.
Q: Who can see report details ?
A: Our databases are not freely and openly available for all to see all results, in order to see any information held a user must first be contacted by or manually search a number before seeing any report details.
Q: Could contacts use the system for malicious reasons?
A: No, our reporting system is open without a registration requirement, users could use the system and try making false positive reports for themselves, however as we only allow negative information to appear any positive reports would be deleted.
Q: If contacts can see they have been reported they will just change their number won't they?
A: Contacts already change their numbers which is proven by the fact of them having multiple entries for multiple numbers. Those who change their numbers would be reported again for doing the same things or we hope they would change their ways and stop their actions which is ultimatly what we want.
Q: How do you combat false reporting ?
A: We have measures in place to identify false reporting and can permanently remove any devices access to the app if they are found doing so.
Q: Should i believe all the description details in the reports ?
A: We advise all users to use their own judgement when seeing reports based upon other users previous experiences of the caller, reports appearing BOLD have come from verified users. If a number has numerious reports they will have come from numerious users.
Q: Can i report a number more than once ?
A: No, each user can only report a number once, this is to ensure each report description that may appear comes from a unique user and to stop any abuse of our system. If you wish to add details to a report description you have previously made please contact ClientEye admin.
Q: Do you periodically send me reports ?
A: No, we only show you reports if a reported number makes contact with you or if you manually search for a number, all the number & area reports we receive are held in our secure EU databases never on the device.
Area reports are shown to all users who have selected their location from the area dropdown options.
Q: What information does ClientEye store about me, my searches or any reports i've made or viewed ?
A: We never read or collect any identifiable information from your device, no data regarding any searches you make or reports you view, are stored or recorded.
Q: If another person accessed the app in my phone what would they find ?
A: Nothing, our app does not store any of the searched, viewed or report information.
The only thing that can be seen is any area alert location choice you may have made.
Q: I've installed and allowed app permissions but not receiving notifications ?
A: Use the settings icon/tab within the app for instructions to switch on notifications.
Q: I have checked the above and still not receiving onscreen notifications (Android) ?
A: Our app checks the android default call handler in order to check and display notifications, if the default has been changed i.e. by installing "Truecaller" the calls are no longer routed through the android default call handler and ClientEye is not triggered.
Q: How can i search for reports on a number ?
A: Select search or the search icon on the top line, use this to search for any reports on a number, after searching you will also have an option to report.
